Concrete Floor and Pavement Sawing

Self-propelled floor saws for slabs, pavement, service trenches and expansion joints.

Cutting a concrete floor is easy to do badly. A crooked cut, an uneven one or one without constant depth leaves an edge that has to be broken out and repoured. GPC Construcciones saws floors and pavements in Tijuana with a guided self-propelled saw that holds line and depth over the full run.

We handle industrial slabs of any thickness, roadway pavement, trenches for plumbing and electrical, openings for pits and sumps, expansion joints and control joints in freshly poured slabs. The diamond blade cuts the concrete and the mesh or rebar without changing tooling.

What this service includes

Straight line, constant depth

The self-propelled saw runs on a guide: the cut neither wanders nor dips.

Through or partial cuts

Depth is set to the millimetre so we cut only the thickness needed and never touch what lies below.

Green-concrete joint cutting

We cut control joints inside the right window so the slab cracks where it should.

No damage to the remaining slab

Diamond cutting leaves a clean edge; there is no spalling that forces demolition beyond the plan.

Questions about floor sawing

It depends on the blade fitted. With common diameters we cut the slab thicknesses usual in industrial and roadway work; for thicker sections we cut from both faces or move to wire.

Dry cutting with vacuum extraction exists, but it wears the blade faster and raises dust. Indoors we prefer wet cutting with recovery.

Yes, with an asphalt-specific blade. It is routine on patching work and on roadway cuts for utility crossings.

As soon as the concrete carries the machine without ravelling, normally within the first hours. Cutting late means cutting after the slab has already cracked on its own.
