Why GPC

Why hire GPC Construcciones

No thickness limit

Tilt Up walls of any thickness and massive sections with diamond wire. Where a blade cannot reach, the wire does.

No vibration, no damage

Diamond cuts by abrasion. The structure that remains takes no impact, no vibration and no microcracking.

Your plant keeps running

Dust control, water capture and phased work so production never stops.

Own, trained crews

Hilti and diamond wire equipment, with crews trained for the full execution of each project.

On-time response

We respond with precision and punctuality. Clear quotes and a schedule that holds.

Coverage across Baja

Tijuana, Playas de Rosarito, Tecate, Ensenada, Mexicali and the Otay border area.

How we work

How we run a cutting job

A structural cut is not improvised. This is the sequence we follow on every job.

Site visit and survey

We go to the site, measure the element and review access, services and working conditions.

Technical proposal

We define the method — blade, wire, wall saw or core drilling — the break-up, the lift and the schedule, at a fixed price.

Layout and protection

We mark the cut, check it against the reinforcement and protect the area: cordoning, water capture and dust control.

Execution

We cut and remove piece by piece, in the order the plan sets. No improvising as we go.

Clean handover

Debris and slurry removed, area cleaned and the site handed over ready for the next stage.

FAQ

What we are asked most

There is no practical limit. A wall saw handles usual thicknesses from one or both faces, and when the section exceeds the blade we bring in diamond wire, which cuts beams, columns and foundation blocks of any size.

From 1 inch up to 24 inches, in floors, walls, soffits and at an angle, with diamond bits on anchored or vacuum bases.

No. Diamond cutting works by abrasion, not percussion, so it transmits no vibration and creates no microcracking in the adjacent concrete. That is why it is used when working next to structure in service.

Yes, that is the norm. The work area is isolated, water capture and dust control are set up, and noisy operations are scheduled in windows agreed with the plant manager, including night shifts and weekends.

For clearly defined work, the same day. When a site visit is needed — which is advisable for structural cutting and demolition — we schedule it within the next 24 to 48 working hours.

Access for the equipment, a 220 V power supply or authorisation for a generator, and a water supply for cooling. If the site has no services we bring a generator and a water tank; it is stated in the quote.
