Controlled demolition means knowing in advance which piece comes down, in what order and where it lands. GPC Construcciones has been performing controlled demolition in Tijuana since 2011: we section the structure with diamond cutting, free each block in the order the analysis dictates and lower it by crane into a defined laydown area.
It is the right method when demolition happens next to a structure in service, over live traffic, inside a working plant or against a neighbour's property. Against straight breaker attack it costs more planning and returns control: less noise, less dust, less risk, and debris that leaves the site in manageable pieces.
