Concrete Core Drilling from 1" to 24" Diameter

Diamond cores from 1" to 24" in slabs, walls and foundations, at any angle and to the depth the project needs.

A concrete core has to be right the first time: exact diameter, exact coordinate, and clear of the steel that holds the element up. GPC Construcciones core drills concrete in Tijuana with diamond bits on anchored or vacuum bases, so the hole enters plumb and exits round on the far side.

We cover from 1 inch — the typical pass for a drain line or an anchor — up to 24 inches, a diameter that already solves manholes, extraction ducts and heavy service penetrations. We drill vertically down, horizontally through walls, upward into slabs and on an angle when the layout calls for it.

What this service includes

From 1" to 24"

The full range of diamond bits in stock, with crowns for reinforced concrete, masonry and stone.

Any orientation

Anchored base, vacuum base or structure mount: we drill floors, walls, soffits and angled layouts.

Clean, on-size hole

The core comes out whole. No spalling at the edge and no over-break to patch afterwards.

Pre-drill scanning

When the slab reinforcement is unknown we locate rebar and conduit before drilling so no structural steel is cut.

Typical applications

  • Plumbing, drainage and fire-line penetrations
  • HVAC and extraction duct openings
  • Holes for epoxy and chemical anchors
  • Manholes and pits in floor slabs

Questions about concrete core drilling

24 inches. Above that it is better to open the area with a saw or diamond wire cut rather than a core.

Yes. The base is anchored to the element and we use water recovery so run-off does not soil the work area.

The diamond crown cuts the steel. Even so, we scan first when the core is large or sits in a moment zone, because severing structural rebar does compromise the element.

Yes — a 220 V supply or generator, and water for cooling. If the site has no services we bring a generator and a water tank.
