Concrete Cutting in Tijuana with Diamond Equipment

We cut reinforced concrete of any thickness with blades, wire and wall saws — no percussion, no damage to the structure that stays standing.

Concrete cutting is the operation that decides whether a structural remodel comes out clean or turns into a problem. GPC Construcciones has been cutting reinforced concrete in Tijuana since 2011 with water-cooled diamond tooling: the material is abraded away rather than hammered out, so the structure that remains takes no vibration and no microcracking.

We handle Tilt Up walls of any thickness, suspended slabs, beams, columns, foundations, silos and retaining walls. Every cut is laid out, checked against the rebar and executed with the right machine: a wall saw for straight vertical cuts, a diamond wire saw when thickness exceeds blade capacity, a floor saw for pavements and slabs, and hand saws for corners and finish cuts.

What this service includes

No thickness limit

With diamond wire the cut does not depend on blade diameter: beams, columns and walls of any section go in one pass.

No vibration

Diamond cuts by abrasion. There is no hammering, so no stress is transmitted to the rebar or the adjoining elements.

Plumb and level cuts

The wall saw runs on a guide rail: the cut face comes out straight and square, ready to receive the new element.

Facilities stay open

Water cooling, slurry capture and dust control let us cut inside plants, hospitals and stores without shutting down.

Typical applications

  • Door and window openings in Tilt Up walls
  • Stair and elevator shafts through suspended slabs
  • Partial demolition and downsizing of beams and columns
  • Foundation slab and industrial floor cutting
  • Openings for plumbing, drainage and electrical runs
  • Silo, tank and retaining wall cutting
  • Parapet and barrier removal on roadway projects
  • Joint cutting and sealing on concrete pavement

Questions about concrete cutting

There is no practical limit. A wall saw blade handles about 70 cm in successive passes; beyond that we bring in the diamond wire saw, which cuts sections of any dimension.

No. Diamond cutting uses no percussion, so it generates no vibration or microcracking in the adjacent concrete. That is exactly why it is preferred over breakers when the neighbouring element must remain.

Yes. Diamond segments are formulated for reinforced concrete and go through steel without stopping. What changes is feed rate, not capability.

Water cools the segment and carries the dust away; the residue is a slurry we contain and remove from site. Indoors we use filtered vacuum extraction to leave the area clean.
